President Donald Trump’s decision to appoint Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly as White House chief of staff on Friday will be a “game changer” and will allow the White House to “become more orderly and disciplined,” former Speaker Newt Gingrich. R-Ga., wrote in a Fox News op-ed.

“I predict the White House will become more orderly and disciplined — with clear lines of authority, serious planning and strong teamwork,” Gingrich wrote Friday evening.

Rep. Scalise Backs Trump’s Proposal to Arm Teachers in Schools

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, who was a victim of gun violence last June, endorsed President Donald Trump’s proposal to arm teachers on school campuses across the United States.

“As long as they are properly trained, that should be their prerogative,” the Louisiana Republican said during a visit to a local charter school on Friday. “If they don’t want to, they shouldn’t have to. But if they want to, they ought to have that right.”
